Seamless remote clinical trial (and research) experience for patients and researchers.

Nexus is a research platform and database that allows you to participate in both in-person and remote studies (mainly for Dtx and video games) in a manner that is secure, easy and reliable.
 
Decentralized platform used by UCSF/Neuroscape and other partner institutions from academia and the industry to conduct clinical trials with digital applications (Dtx) and video games.
 
It allows participants to enroll in studies, execute tasks and surveys, get reminders, track progress and get rewarded.
The translational neuroscience center at UCSF (Neuroscape) needed to build a clinical research platform from scratch, aimed at scaling and expanding different clinical studies so they could be run remotely in different parts of the country and the world.
 
Neuroscape couldn’t find a suitable alternative of an RCT/research platform that could support clinical studies with video games (data collection in these studies is tricky) and that could also serve as a common back end to collect data from the multiple clinical research programs they run using technology in the cognitive space.
 
Alternova designed, develops and maintains these platform today for UCSF and for other institutions and companies who have partnered with them to use this technology.
